DETAILED INFORMATION

Its high strength is achieved without the use of strengthening heat as a result of its stiffening of the alloy matrix in Inconel 625 round bars. It is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy supplemented with nickel. Niobium is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy supplemented with nickel. The corrosion resistance of A625 to chloride ions makes it ideal for a wide range of extremely corrosive environments. It is composed mainly of nickel, chrome, and molybdenum, though traces of niobium are also found in Inconel 625, in addition to these three predominant metals. Any metal, whether it is nickel, chrome, or molybdenum, will be strengthened mechanically and physically by alloying it. Therefore, the ASTM B446 Inconel 625 Forged Bar is stiffened by adding molybdenum and niobium. Due to its stiff matrix, Alloy 625 Bar is capable of delivering high tensile strength without heating.

It is important to note that since Inconel 625 Round Bar is a former grade, it is not affected by the stress-related corrosion cracking caused by chlorides that occurs in austenitic stainless steels.

It has been demonstrated that Inconel 625 forged bars, for instance, can resist boiling magnesium chloride, an inorganic compound, very well. Due to the high nickel content in cold-drawn Inconel 625 bars, they are virtually resistant to stress cracking caused by chlorine, and ASTM B446 UNS N06625 rods are typically exposed to chlorine salts commonly found in marine environments.
