DETAILED INFORMATION
Solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought nickel 200 offers excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, as well as excellent resistance to caustic alkalis at various concentrations and temperatures. Nickel 200 (UNS N02200/W.Nr. 2.4060) has better corrosion resistance in de-aerated acid because of its low gas and vapor pressure, but it also has good thermal and electrical conductivity. It has excellent mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. Nickel 200 (UNS N02200/W.Nr. 2.4060) contains 99.6% pure wrought nickels.
Other useful characteristics include its magnetic and magnetostrictive properties, high thermal and electrical conductivities, low gas content, and low vapor pressure. Its corrosion resistance makes Nickel 200 ideal for maintaining product purity when handling foods, synthetic fibers, and caustic alkalies; as well as in structural applications that require corrosion resistance. Chemical shipping drums, electrical and electronic parts, and aerospace and missile components are among other applications.
Among the many uses of alloy 200 (UNS N02200), it has good mechanical properties and excellent resistance to corrosion in many environments. It also has good thermal, electrical, and magnetostrictive properties. For hotter applications, alloy 201 has less carbon. Food processing equipment, chemical shipping drums, caustic handling equipment, piping, electronic parts, and aerospace, and missile components are among the most common uses for Alloy 200 and Alloy 201.
As well as being used in the mechanical and industrial sectors, Nickel 200 is one of the best metals. A commercially pure nickel with 99.6% wrought nickel, it is said to have excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. Almost every sector of the world finds its products highly in demand because it has the properties of Nickel 200. In addition to having high electrical and thermal conductivity, nickel 200 pipes also have a low gas content and vapor pressure. They are most commonly used in areas where less corrosive metals are required. The pipes generally have a round shape and can be cut as required by the customer. In addition to heat treatments, they are used for expansion, machining, and machining.
Because these pipes are highly versatile, they can be used in a number of industries. The aerospace industry, motor industry, medicine, construction, architecture, fertilizers, nuclear power, transportation, traffic, pumps, valves, chemical industry, energy industry, and many others can all benefit from these pipes.
Since seamless pipes have excellent properties, you can use them in many ways. Among its advantages are its high electrical conductivity, excellent resistance to dry fluorine, excellent electrical, thermal, and magnetostrictive properties, use in caustic soda, corrosion resistance, and resistance to a variety of reducing chemicals. It is clear now why Nickel 200 pipes have such a wide range of applications.

Fabrication And Heat Treatment
In addition to hot working, nickel 200 alloys can also be processed cold. The alloy can be hot worked between 649°C (1200°F) and 1232°C (2250°F), and heavy forming is done at temperatures above 871°C (1600°F). 704°C (1300°F) and 871°C (1600°F) are the temperatures at which annealing takes place.

Standard Wire Finishes
Extra Clean: Extra clean is also referred to as “bright annealed” or “bright annealed and cold rolled”
Grease (round wire only): Drawn in a heavy grease produces an “Ultra bright” finish for decorative applications
Soap (round wire only): Soap is used as a lubricant in the drawing process and is not removed. It acts as a lubricant during customer part-forming operations.
A soap finish is available in tempered products.
Plated: Many plating options are available.
Quality & Testing
Certification with all shipments, containing full chemical analysis and also mechanical test results if requested.
All incoming material is visually inspected and PMI (Positive Material Identification) tested before processing begins and all our production material is checked during each stage of processing.
All incoming orders are produced to the individual customer specification, some of which may involve processing sample batches for testing prior to full production.
