With enhanced pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance, Hastelloy C22, also known as alloy C22, is an austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy hastelloy c22 tube suppliers. With a high chromium content, the material is resistant to oxidizing media, while with a high molybdenum and tungsten content, it is resistant to reducing media. Additionally, this alloy of nickel steel has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media and mixtures with nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chlorine ions. Hastelloy C-22 is also resistant to oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and cupric chlorides, sea water, brine, and many mixed or contaminated chemical solutions, both organic and inorganic n06022.
It also offers excellent resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams, which is invaluable for multi-purpose plants with such "upset" conditions frequently encountered.
Due to its resistance to precipitates forming in the heat-affected zone of the weld, this nickel alloy is suitable for most chemical processing applications.
As a result of the formation of detrimental phases above 1250° F, alloy C-22 should not be used in service temperatures above this point.
