DETAILED INFORMATION

S32760 Steel Products for offshore, as well as onshore industries, perform well under marine conditions. In addition to its corrosion resistance, Werkstoff UNS S32760 is also capable of demonstrating greater stress corrosion cracking resistance in both seawater and outside seawater. The low thermal expansion rates along with corrosion resistance over extended periods of time under certain temperatures make it possible. With its high tensile strength, UNS S32760 Zeron 100 pressure vessel material is capable of supporting high pressures inside hydraulic systems and vessels. This material is also resistant to high wear and tear.

Due to the low thermal expansion rates, UNS S32760 F55 casting material can also retain mold precision under casting temperatures even when the mold is being shaped. Due to its high tensile strength, the S32760 Duplex spring material is used in automobile systems. Because of its high tensile strength, Super Duplex UNS S32760 construction materials can be very efficient where strength is important. Super Duplex materials are used for bridge construction, for example. Super Duplex Grade S32760 angle material makes the angles sit tight and strong. The connecting components are able to be connected firmly on top of it. Super Duplex Stainless Steel S32760 can also be used in place of other super duplex steels if no particular super duplex steel type is required for the application.

One of the most common super duplex grades is UNS S32760. Compared to UNS S32750, UNS S32760 has additional W and Cu and is specifically designed for service in chloride-containing environments. In addition to its high mechanical strength, it has very good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Despite having slightly different chemical compositions, UNS S32760 is very similar to UNS 32750. The amount of manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, molybdenum, and nitrogen in 32760 is lower, while silicon and copper are higher. Both grades, however, contain the same amount of carbon, chromium, and nickel; this makes them interchangeable in some cases.

With its lower levels of Mo and Ni, UNS S32760 can compete well with the 6% molybdenum “super austenitic” grades in some applications, since they drive up the material’s base cost. 32760 has lower amounts of Cr, Ni, and Mo than the “6% Moly” grades, but it has higher Cr, Ni, and Mo when compared to other alloys, which makes it more corrosion-resistant between grains and pits. Adding nitrogen to structural materials encourages structural hardening by an interstitial solid solution mechanism, increasing yield strength and ultimate strength without affecting toughness. Comparatively to conventional stainless steels, a two-phase "duplex" microstructure offers greater resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, corrosion fatigue, crevice corrosion, and strong weldability.

Super Duplex UNS S32750/S32760 is characterized by:

  • High resistance to stress corrosion cracking in halide-containing environments
  • High resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
  • High yield strength and tensile strength
  • High resistance to general corrosion
  • High thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion
  • High mechanical strength

Benefits of UNS S32760 SuperDuplex Stainless Steel

  • Increased tensile & yield strength
  • Good ductility and toughness
  • SSC resistance
  • Corrosion resistance is better than Duplex
  • Cost effective

GENERAL PROPERTIES

The UNS S32760 super duplex grade is among the most commonly available. As opposed to UNS S32750, UNS S32760 contains extra W and Cu, a duplex stainless steel specifically designed for service in aggressive chloride-containing environments. As well as high mechanical strength, it is highly resistant to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

RESISTANCE TO CORROSION

Corrosion resistance and strength properties of alloy S32760 are excellent. In comparison with UNS S32205, SUS 329J3L, and SUS 329J4L (NAS 64), it offers superior localized corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in chemical plants, seawater desalination plants, and similar environments.

WELDING

Shielded metal arc welding, TIG welding, and plasma welding are all suitable welding methods for austenitic stainless steel. In welding, it is recommended to use welding electrodes that are suitable for UNS S32760. Preheating and post-heating are not necessary. To prevent the formation of intermetallic compounds, the interpass temperature should not exceed 100°C.

HEAT TREATMENT

Heat treatment cannot harden duplex stainless steels. They can however be worked hardened. After heating to around 1100°C, they can be annealed or solution treated.

Packing:

Since international shipments have to go through several channels to reach the final destination, we take extra care to pack them properly.

Different ways in which our goods are packed depending on the product. These are some of the ways we pack our goods:

  • Shrink-wrapped
  • Wooden Boxes
  • Wooden Pallets
  • Wooden Crates
  • Carton boxes

Marking:

Our products will be marked with detailed markings that relate to the test certificates we provide.

For cut pieces of Pipes, Sheets, or Round Bars, we transfer the marking from the product from which the piece is cut. We provide a letter confirming the marking transfer and a picture of the product.

Delivery Time:

  • We clear the shipment and send it to port within 2 days of receiving advance payment if the items are in stock.
  • In the event that the items are not available in stock, the time taken for manufacturing depends on the size, quantity, and grade of the item.
  • Even so, we can compete with anyone in India on delivery time and most of the time our production time is the shortest.
  • Our logistic partners in India can handle all types of shipping activities and ensure that shipping does not delay.
